Cyber Resilience Act – Which Products Are Affected and What Manufacturers Need to Do Now
The EU Cyber Resilience Act is not an IT law – it is a product safety regulation. Without CRA conformity, affected products will not receive CE marking from the end of 2027 and may no longer be sold in the EU. Violations carry fines of up to EUR 15 million or 2.5% of global revenue.
Many companies don't even know they are affected. Industrial controllers, RFID chips, connected toys, smart machines – as soon as a product has a direct or indirect data connection, the regulation applies. A USB port or touchscreen is sufficient.
In 15 minutes you'll learn:
- Scope: Which products are affected – and why 'no WiFi' does not mean 'not affected'
- From cybersecurity assessment through Security by Design to SBOM – The CRA requirements
- Reporting obligations: What duties await you from September 2026
- Liability: When you legally qualify as a manufacturer – even if you don't expect it
- Followed by: Room for your individual questions
